Who is Sly Panda?

Freelance Photographer

In 2008 Simon Carter (b.1990) borrowed a small loan and bought a car and a camera.

From 2009-2013 he studied photography at Plymouth College of Art.  He experimented with the properties of light and became fascinated by cameras. He spent all his money on film and petrol and set out to explore, document and create.  Using a cocktail of analogue and digital techniques the artists name evolved to Sly Panda. "Sly" because he was sneaky when taking photographs, and "Panda" because he has a Enjoi  (skateboard brand)  tattoo.

Sly Panda graduated with a 2:1 and been featured in numerous publications in print and online including Saatchi Art, DIYnamite, Lamono Magazine, Hard Magazine, 121clicks and Süddeutsche Zeitung. He has participated in exhibitions around Wales, London and Plymouth and is currently based in his hometown of  Cardiff. After 6 years working for Camera Centre UK,  Sly Panda is now fully freelance, taking bookings and running an online photography store called Codien Cameras.

A specialist in a broad range of photography practices with over decade of experience in the field Sly Panda offers a dedicated and proficient service delivered with pride and diligence. He is continuously learning new skills, expanding his portfolio and enthusiastic to help promote your business or document your special day. If you are interested in hiring our services please don't hesitate to get in touch.
